Centres for Health Solutions - Kenya (CHS) is a newly-registered Kenyan non-governmental organization (NGO) whose goal is to strengthen public health programs with specific emphasis on HIV prevention care and treatment, TB and malaria.
CHS is an affiliate of ICAP which is funded by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) through the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and collaborates with the Kenyan Ministries of Health.

The Country Director will provide overall strategic direction and leadership towards the achievement of the organizational mission, and annual objectives.
S/he will ensure financial accountability and sustainability and overall effectiveness of the organization’s programs.

Key responsibilities
- Oversight of planning and management of the organization’s annual operating plan and budget
- Oversight of administrative and financial management
- Oversight of human resource management
- Oversight of program planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Coordinate all public relations and communications
- Communicate with donors and Ministries of Health/National AIDS and STI Control Program Prepare required reports on program activities
- Represent the organization in meetings with government officials, donors and partner organizations.
Qualifications and skill set
- Degree graduate in public health or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in administration and financial oversight
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in personnel management
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the oversight of health programs in resources limited settings, including HIV programs
- Experience in health programs management in Kenya strongly preferred
- Experience working with U.S. Government or other bi-lateral donors
