Our client, an International Broadcasting Group wishes to fill the position of Regional
Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for Africa.
As Regional CTO you will be part of a Technical Team spanning from the Global Headquarters down to the local subsidiaries in Africa.
In this role your main responsibility will be to take an active part in regional technical operations as well as developing structures and strategies within the Technical Department.
You will head technical feasibility studies, assign technical specifications, engage in negotiations and procurement with vendors and suppliers concerning Digital Broadcasting technology and IT infrastructure for the African region and appoint first line maintenance engineers in the appropriate countries to support you.
Job Profile
* Management of CA System (Conditional access).
* Management of SMS (Subscriber Management System).
* STB management (Set Top Boxes).
* EPG data management.
* Configuration and management of office LAN and VPN connections.
* Holds a Master degree in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering or similar with at least 10 years of experience
* Mandatory Technical skills in Unix, MS Windows Environment, IP Network management (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.), Communication solutions (MPLS, IP-VPN, etc.), Satellite communication (DTH solutions) and Digital broadcasting technology (DVB).
* Meriting Technical Skills in Telecom networks (SDH, PDH, etc.), Video encoding, Radio transmission and MS .NET and Java.
