An International NGO based in Narok south district is looking to recruit Clinical Lab Technicians for their newly built clinic.

Main Purpose of the Job:
- To conduct laboratory tests that aid in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.
- Collect samples of blood and urine, label them, and conduct simple tests on them.
- Sterilize instruments; prepare, stain, and label slides; and keep records of tests.
- Set up, adjust, maintain and clean medical laboratory equipment.
- Conduct blood tests for transfusion purposes and perform blood counts.
Typical work activities
- Performs phlebotomy and processing of specimens to be used in the Lab.
- Plans routine microbiology specimens.
- Performs routine tests and some specialized tests as ordered by the Clinical Officer.
- Maintains quality control of specimen samples.
- Operates standard laboratory equipment and some specialized equipment.
- Reviews and processes orders for laboratory procedures for patients.
- Records testing information and files laboratory reports.
- Inventories and orders laboratory and office supplies.
- Communicates to patient on laboratory information.
- Cleans and restocks laboratory facility.
- Maintains a safe environment in the laboratory.
