Desktop Support - FINTECH Ltd

Fintech is a leader in enterprise Information Technology services & solutions with a presence in five countries in Africa. We seek a suitable candidate to fill the following position: DESKTOP SUPPORT

The position will report to the Team leader – Professional Services Unit.

Responsibilities:
 Installation and update of Service Packs and patches as released by Microsoft
 Attend to user queries on logging on, logging off, printing and internet access
 Attend to systems crashes, disk clean-ups and defragmentation.
 Network support and administration, including shared user folders, shared printer setup.
 Antivirus support
 Proactive Network Monitoring and Backup of Services
 Daily logging. Browse Event Viewer for errors/warnings, security breaches or any failures.
 Maintaining current virus updates on all servers, workstations.
 Reload Microsoft software on crashed PCs and maintaining software configuration policy
 Configure and trouble shoot of video conferencing equipment.
 Document Frequently Occurring Problems
 Efficiently track calls

Qualification & skills:
 A degree in Information Technology or equivalent
 At least one year experience in a similar position
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Server platforms & applications
 User support experience is amust
 Excellent communication skills
 Mature and focused individual able to work with minimal supervision
 MCP/MCITP qualification
