Eligibility: applicants for a D.Phil or MSt/MSc leading to a D.Phil. Current Lincoln graduate students applying for a D.Phil after MSt/MSc are also eligible.

Duration: 1 year in the first instance with the possibility of re-application for further renewal for up to two years.
Four entrance awards will be available from October 2010. Awards will be made on the basis of both academic merit and financial need. Applicants who have already secured partial funding will not be excluded from consideration. Applicants who have been awarded, or who subsequently obtain, a fully funded Research Studentship from a UK Research Council, or similar award, will not be eligible. Applicants must hold a place, or an offer of a place, at Lincoln College before applying. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by September 1st of the year of application.

On the application form, applicants should be ready to give a detailed account of their overall financial situation and proposed form of funding for the period of their study at Oxford.

They should also give an idea of the value that they set on the chance of studying for a research degree in Oxford in particular.
