PTF is therefore looking for dynamic, team players who are experienced and qualified. The prospective candidates should possess strong credentials to fill the following positions;
Position summary
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the IT Manager will be responsible for the facilitation of PTF's technology and ensuring that PTF delivers MIS services to clients on a timely basis.
Key responsibilities
Planning and co-ordinating all information systems in order to support the achievement of PTF business strategy;
Planning and designing disaster recovery plans for the PTF information system to ensure service continuity Coaching and mentoring staff in the information systems development;
Evaluating developments in the microfinance industry to ensure that the PTF's core business system provides up to date busines:i solutions to users; Reviewing the information systems strategy and advising on changes in accordance to changes to PTF's operations and external environment; Carrying out routine reviews of. the core micro finance system to ensure optimum interactions between the system and users;
Undertaking a review of the branch network connectivity occasionally in order to establish the operating level; and
Carrying out annual appraisal of performance and making recommendations on staff training.
Advice management on the appropriate IT systems for the organization Including financial management, loan management. tracking and evaluation.
Key qualifications experience and competencies
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field;
A minimum of three (3) years experience in micro finance Industry; 3 of which should be in a managerial level or supervisory capacity; Proficiency in micro finance/banking IT systems;
Good leadership and interpersonal skills;
Excellent knowledge of information system polices and practice in financial institution; and High level of computer literacy.
The above position requires individuals with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of people. The right candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in Kiswahili and English. In addition he/she must be an effective team player and able to meet strict deadlines.
