Abt Associates (www.abtassoc.com) has been awarded the five-year USAID/Sudan Food, Agribusiness and Rural Markets (FARM) Program. We are currently recruiting for the following long-term local positions:
Grants/Procurement Officer: Three field positions to be based in Yambio, Yei and Torit. This officer will oversee the innovative grant facility at their field office, as well as the development, monitoring and evaluation of proposals submitted to their office for quick disbursement of grants in accordance with the project’s grants manual. The officer will serve as the principal point of contact with prospective recipients.
Key Qualifications:
• Degree in business administration, economics, agricultural economics or closely related field. Extensive experience in managing grants or contracts for NGOs may be substituted.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience managing grants/contracts for large USAID or other international donor programs with demonstrated knowledge of donor grant/contract systems, regulations and reporting requirements. Experience in managing donor or NGO projects or extensive operations management or financial management may be substituted for grants/contracts experience.
• Strong computer skills (QuickBooks &/or Quicken, Excel, Word). Fluent English.
• Sudanese citizen.
