The role is responsible for providing commercial, financial and analytical support across Songas' business. The Business Analyst is expected to:
DUTIES:
• Provide decision support and analysis expertise to enhance decision making, adding value and positively impacting business performance.
• Support the commercial and Business Development Manager.
• Monitor Songas' contractual compliance of all project Agreements and key statutory matters.
• Monitor and administer Songas' regulatory compliance, including reporting tariff related matters.
• Undertake monthly check of all key monthly invoices (Including TPPC Gas Sales and PPA).
• Undertake periodic reconciliations of key commercial data (including Gas Sales, Electricity Sales and associated charges).
• Analyse and benchmark Songas' financial and commercial performance, develop and asses strategies to improve the same.
• Monitor industry legislative developments and provide guidance to the business on strategic changes.
• Support the delivery of training on commercial matters to the wider Songas' team.
• Analyse commercial opportunities and threats.
• Perform energy sector and country specific risk analysis.
• Develop and maintain a database of relevant industry statistics, produce relevant reports for use by the management team.
• Assist in identifying and executing new transactions for Songas', and to provide financial modelling and other commeIt:tal support on and as needed basis.
• Develop and maintain the company's financial models.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding corporate information.
• Perform other reasonable duties requested from time to time.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swahili.
• Excellent business acumen.
• Good computer skills in Word, PowerPoint and E-mail
• Strong analytical skills including advanced Excel.
