World Vision International Somalia Program, a Christian Relief and Development organization, wishes to recruit a Grants Finance Manager.
The successful candidate will provide technical support in the Financial Management and control of the Head Office Finance Department to ensure compliance to the established financial policies, procedures and Internal Controls in the management of Grants.

Main Responsibilities
- Lead, design strategies, plan activities, organize implementations, monitor progresses, review and evaluate the whole function of the department based on the division/national level strategies and policies.
- Develop or introduce already developed procedures and systems which enhance accountability in grant management and organizational resource utilization;
- Lead and manage the Grants finance department in accomplishing objectives of the department in line with organizational goals.
- Design programs that mentor, couch and build Capacity of Staff within the department in the way they handle financial processes.
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to in the financial management of grants.
- Provide technical support in the budget processes and ensure sufficient backstopping for all grant budgets before being sent to the prospective donors.
- Ensure that the grant reports are prepared, are accurate and submitted timely to the donors and other stakeholders.
- Carry out risk periodic assessment, financial analysis and other strategic financial management information relevant for management decision making.
- Review the internal controls in the grant management processes and advise the Finance Director on relevant action steps.
- Ensure compliance in all grant funded programs and minimize the associated risk of grant management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in accounting/finance or professional qualifications like CPA, ACCA, CFA will be added advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in a busy entity –This enables one to understand business flow and operations of Finance Department and appreciation of procedures and the consequences of decisions made.
- At least 2 years in grant Management to appreciate the dynamic nature of grant operations and regulations.
- Certification in several donor reporting regulation, Sun System and Professional body for Continuous Education and updates of Professional developments
- An understanding of context and conflict working environment in humanitarian Emergencies
- Self starter and a confident communicator during reporting
- Flexibility and adaptability with a readiness to take on tasks that contributes to the realisation of wider organisational goals.
- A proactive person with initiative and drive, honest with a high level of integrity; a team-player with good planning skills
- Strong Christian values and principles.
- Ability to travel to Somalia depending on the program needs.
