1. Job Purpose
Advise, propose solutions to, monitor and report on the progress of Project Teams working towards implementation of the Dubai Bus Master Plan, and specifically the increased Bus services scheduled for 09/09/09.
Projects are expected to include a wide range of specialist areas such as: Service Delivery, Operational Performance & On Time Performance (OTP), Resource Management, Stakeholder Management, Financial, Operational Systems, Health & Safety, Planning & Scheduling, Commercial Planning, Training, Manpower Planning & Evaluation, Engineering Performance, with input to other project teams working on topics such as Driver Recruitment & Retention.

3. Key Results Accountabilities
- Identify problem areas and obstacles to effective and timely implementation of the Dubai Bus Master Plan in own specialist area.
- Support the Engineering team in scoping and planning the project and identifying and suggesting suitable programs and systems.
- Work alongside depot operational teams to identify quick wins to Service Delivery improvements.
- Understand the driver training program, communicating suggested improvements through the Project Team.
- Identify and communicate resource improvements specific to Service Delivery.
- Work with existing Heath & Safety practises and identify improvements where appropriate.
- Advise on bus design with procurement team for growth plans.
- Advise the team on best practice, alternative solutions and potential outcomes.
- Ensure high level of team communication and activity.
- Report regularly on Project progress to the Programme Office.
- Monitor direct reports functionality as well as progress, advising the Project Manager in the first instance of perceived deficiencies and proposing/supporting corrective action.
- Carry out specific specialist tasks to enable Project success only if beyond the competence of team members and other PTA management.
- Make or support presentations on behalf of the Project Team.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

7. Qualifications and Experience Required
- Degree or Certificate of Professional Competence in Public Transportation.
- 15+ years of international operational experience in a similar large organization, covering the professional Competencies required to Authority standard.
- Previous experience running mass service public transport operations.
