Key Duties and Responsibilities will include
- Responsible for supervision, training, mentoring and appraisal of staff in the Accounts Department
- Management of accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards;
- Plan, forecast and advice on business operations, financial commitments, obligations and future revenues;
- Assist the director’s in the selection and deployment of an ERP or other financial management system suited to the company’s size and needs.
- Prepares financial reports for the Directors;
- Oversees the development of the budgets, ensure compliance and review;
- Prepare Payroll
- Ensuring monthly statutory deductions are paid to the appropriate authorities on time
- Preparation and filing of tax returns to ensure compliance with KRA requirements
- Support, negotiate and liaise with external auditors, tax and other business consultants.
Qualifications and requirements
- A degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Economics from a reputable university
- CPA (K) or equivalent
- Five (5) years experience as an accountant in an FMCG environment or in the Hospitality Industry.
- Strong IT skills, experience with ERP software is an added advantage.
- 30 – 40 years of age.
