Teaching English In China

I just wanted to let you know that there are many openings for teaching English in China. All that are interested can easily find their way to this land of oppotunities of the moment.

With a population of over one billion and with all the major companies shifting theirs bases to China, many chinese are now interested in learning English and many learning centres, schools and universities are now looking for English teachers to catch up with the new demand.

China is one place with a very low cost of living( living expenses are like 1/3 if not 1/2 of kenyan). You can easily survive on ksh 1000 a week ( VERY TRUE ).This is a place you can save almost all your salary. The tax is also low ( about 15%).

Most institutions just need a bachelors degree ( not necessarily in Education). The atmosphere is also relaxed for teachers as the english is mainly for communication and hence no international or national exams for students to sit for.

The salaries depend on the institution but they range from 5000RMB- 40000RMB a month.( 60 k - 480k a month). It is also easy to move from one centre to another or one city to another when you are already here.Starting salary should not deter you since you will get better oppotunities while already here so even a chance for 5000RMB is worth trying since they provide accomodation and you can easily save almost the whole amount.

You just have to save for your airfare ( like 80k) but most institutions will refund on arrival.

So guys, dont wait - just google TEACHING JOBS IN CHINA or TEACHING JOBS IN SHANGHAI, BEIJING, NANJING or any other city you like and apply to as many as you can.
