The Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF) supports private-sector investment that benefits the rural poor in Africa.
The Research Into Business competition (AECF RIB) will provide grants of up to US$1.5 million to for-profit companies to commercialize innovative agribusiness ideas based on new technologies or the outputs of agricultural research.
The competition is open to companies from anywhere in the world provided that the business idea is implemented in Africa.
