HR Officer, Planning & Organisational Design: Telkom Kenya


HR Officer, Planning & Organisation Design is a position requiring a high degree of integrity, initiative and skills in time management, organization, communication and effective interpersonal interaction.

The holder of the position will be primarily responsible for coordinating recruitment, design of organizational charts and immigration activities.

Reporting to: FH/HR Planning & Organisation Design
Key responsibilities:
  • Short listing candidates in conjunction with recruiting departments as guided by FH/HRP&OD.
  • Preparing reports of short listed candidates and sharing these with recruiting departments and FH/HRP&OD as required.
  • Provision of secretarial services during the interviews including taking minutes, having these signed off by the panelists and having them approved by HHR.
  • Preparing weekly/periodic recruitment reports as required in respect of HR dashboard reporting.
  • Making/initiating arrangements for necessary working tools including email addresses, security badges, PF numbers, computers, parking where applicable, etc in good time.
  • Meeting new hires on their first day of reporting and ensuring seamless transition between their arrival and reporting to their respective departments.
  • Liaising with the Training function to ensure plans for induction are consistent with reporting dates.
  • Liaising with Heads of Departments/their nominees to clarify routine recruitment queries.
  • Updating organizational charts
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by your supervisor from time to time.
Academic/Professional Qualifications
  • Graduate in social sciences/Diploma in HR related subject/social sciences
  • HR professional qualifications an added advantage

  • Sense of initiative
  • Proficiency in IT/MS skills especially Excel and Word.
Related Work Experience: A minimum of three years relevant experience in similar environment/position is required.
