Sudan Radio Service (SRS) is a USAID-supported project that delivers accurate, balanced news and information to the people of Sudan-via shortwave broadcasts heard nationally and an FM broadcast heard in Juba, southern Sudan.
SRS has a team of nearly 40 journalists/producers based in Sudan and Nairobi, Kenya who report news and develop informational programming based on the journalistic principles of fairness and accuracy.

The successful candidate would:

This position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
The successful candidate would:
- Assist the Deputy Chief of Party in coordinating travel requests.
- Make appointments for the Chief of Party when necessary
- Assist the Deputy Chief of Party in drafting letters to various authorities
- In close liaison with HR and Admin Coordinator monitor recruitment of Interns and Stringers
- Support the Deputy Chief of Party to organize trainings and assist in completion and collation of workshop reports as necessary.
- Assist the Deputy Chief of Party with internal information management – filling documents in the appropriate files for easy retrieval, receiving mail and routing it to the various partners.
- Ensure proper external communication with the partners is done during the absence of the Deputy Chief of Party
- Assist the Deputy Chief of Party in carrying out performance appraisals for the employs under his supervision
- Liaise with production supervisors and ensure that Job descriptions are updated and forwarded to HR Coordinator
- Assist Production staff in ensuring that Travel Advance reports have been completed timely and correctly.
- Prepare minutes for management meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
- BSc. or BA degree in Management related course.
- A professional qualification in HR is a plus.
- At least 3 year’s experience of related administration and management experience in an Administrative position.
- Effective and fluent verbal and written communications skills in English.
- Excellent organization and problem solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and situations in a confidential manner.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment with diverse culture
- a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and internet applications.
