Maintenance in Charge – Mwanza
Location: Tanzania
- JOB PURPOSE
To supervise and control various construction and maintenance activities for petrol stations in the Lake Zone area.
- JOB DIMENSIONS
The scope and scale of activities with which this job is concerned;
- Monitor and control Quality assurance and quality control at sites.
- Prepare bills of quantity in consultation with the maintenance manager.
- Certify the measurements / bills for payments.
- Monitor progress of works in consultation with the maintenance manager.
- Suggest and implement various technical solutions to the site specific issues arising during execution and breakdown of equipment.
- Oversee document control at the site and with contractors
- Handle any other technical assignment given by Maintenance Manager.
- Control and maintenance of dispensing units, generators, compressors & other electrical equipment.
- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A graduate in Civil / Electrical Engineering (Electrical preferred), with 3-5 years of experience in site supervision/control. Preference will be given to people having experience in the oil industry either in petrol station or terminal construction.
- SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES
- Computer literacy, knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- Desire and ability to learn and develop new skills.
- Attention to detail in the supervision of construction works.
- Highest level of honesty, integrity and transparency.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and develop vendors in various disciplines.
- Initiative and good communication skills.
- Knowledge of contracts management is added advantage.
