1. Job Purpose
The Project Director reports to the Managing Director, and has overall accountability for the delivery of the OMO contract and its objectives at the PTA.
This will include (but not limited to): improvements to Service Delivery, Operational Performance & On Time Performance (OTP), Resource Management, Operational Systems, Health & Safety, Planning & Scheduling, Maintenance and Knowledge Transfer.
The project Director is also required to advise, propose solutions, monitor and report on problem areas, risks, issues and obstacles on the progress of Project Teams working towards implementation of the Dubai Bus Master Plan.

3. Key Results Accountabilities
- Managing the engagement with the PTA and mitigating any risk.
- Ensuring that the objectives defined in the contract are achieved on-time, quality and budget.
- Reviewing deliverables and maintaining high standards of work provided to the client
- Consolidating and analysing revenue, profitability and utilisation for the project
- Ensuring the Serco/PTA team is well informed at all times of project progress, risks and issues
- Supporting and soliciting input from team members at all levels of the project
- Communicating effectively with the RTA/PTA to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies
- Continually defining ways to increase customer satisfaction and enhance the Serco/PTA relationship
- Developing and championing improvement initiatives through the help of other team members with the aim to ensure optimum bus network
- Advising the team on best practice, alternative solutions and potential outcomes.
- Ensuring a high level of team communication and activity.
- Reporting regularly on Project progress to the RTA Programme Office as required.
- Monitoring direct reports functionality as well as progress, advising the Managing Director in the first instance of perceived deficiencies and proposing/supporting corrective action.
- Leading the team in an efficient, effective and productive manner
- Liaising with PTA staff in an efficient, effective and productive manner
- Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

7. Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Transport or similar from a recognized university.
- 15+ years in transport operations for a leading organisation
- Recognised and accomplished senior manager
- Previous experience managing a project team in a dynamic operating environment.
