Summary:
GTZ’s support office in Nairobi provides logistical, financial and personnel support GTZ’s projects in Nairobi, Kakuma and Dadaab camps. The IT officer is responsible for assisting the organization where it concerns Information Technology issues.
Network and Administration:
- IT support to staff
- Network configuration
- Networking
- Provide technical support
- Trouble shoot network hardware and software problems
Systems Administration:
- Create and maintain Management systems
- Service and Maintenance
- Create backup schedule and implement Data backup
- Installation and implementation of Information Systems
- Data base management
- Create, delete or modify user accounts
Service and Maintenance:
- Create and implement service schedule on a quarterly basis
User Support:
- Respond to day to day user queries
- Capacity building/training
- Any other tasks whenever needed.
Requirements:
- Basic IT management skills, backed with a Bachelors degree,higher Diploma and other It profession recognised certificates
- Familiarity with projects management computer programs as well as specialised software packages
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to write good reports.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Experience in managing and supervising staff.
