Minimum Qualification and Requirements:
- Degree in Development Studies or Social Science with at least three years of work experience in related fields;
- High level of skills in project planning and management, demonstrated skills in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines;
- Strong communication, analytical and report writing skills with fluency in spoken and written English;
- Knowledge and skills in basic computing;
- Demonstrated interpersonal skill in working with a multi-disciplinary team;
- Good knowledge and experience of participatory approaches in project development and implementation;
- Willingness and enthusiasm for working with rural and vulnerable communities living in remote areas of the country;
- Ability to manage a small team;
- Excellent knowledge of gender issues and commitment to gender equality;
- Commitment to Happy Villages’ vision and mission;
Terms of Employment: A three-month contract. Probation period for the first one month. Remuneration in line with experience and qualifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designing a research project to allow objective comparison of a number of villages against criteria that has already been set by the Happy Villages Board;
- Collecting data, including primary and secondary, qualitative and quantitative;
- Travelling to a number of communities by public transport to collect information;
- Liaising with and sending weekly written reports to the Board;
- Collating information and reporting empirical data and final analysis to the board;
