Claims - Team Leader
Main Purpose of the Job
- Day to day supervision of the departmental activities to enable the department adjudicate claims per the policy contract terms and conditions
Key responsibilities
- Supervise all the activities of the department, guiding and coaching of employees
- To ensure timely and accurate claims adjudication of all claims per policy contract terms and conditions
- Set timely and accurate claims reserves on all due cases per the company guidelines
- Review all outstanding claim reserves on at least quarterly basis and where applicable, adjust the reserves accordingly
- To ensure that all claim records are timely and accurate at all times
- To ensure timely and accurate preparation of periodic departmental management reports
- To ensure timely staff performance appraisals per HR deadlines
- To assist the department to operate within its budget
Qualifications
- Business degree with a bias in insurance
- FLMI or ACII
- ALHC qualification will bean added advantage
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years insurance experience with at least 2-years experience in either Underwriting, Claims or Customer Service
- Computer literate and knowledge of software packages such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access
- Knowledge of life insurance products and insurance administration

Broker Consultant
Main Purpose of the Job
Main Purpose of the Job
- To manage and achieve results through brokers and independent Financial Advisors/Agents in line with CFC Life business objectives
Key responsibilities
Recruitment and selection
Recruitment and selection
- Participate in recruitment and selection of channel participant's in line with the Company policy
Training and development
- Facilitate Training and development of brokers and independent financial Advisors/Agents
- Monitor and evaluate development needs of channel participants
Performance management
- Participate in development and implementation of channel strategies
- Develop sales budget, control production and persistency
- Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and motivate brokers and independent financial advisors/agents
- Provide input and technical support to brokers and independent financial advisors
Client Value
- Putting customers first, ensure appropriate delivery of customer value
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelors degree or its equivalent
- Professional qualification an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in insurance sales or broker distribution
- Computer literate
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast paced, multifaceted team environment
- Strong presentation and organizational skills
- Self motivated and driven individual able to work with minimum supervision
- Must be a person of impeccable honesty and integrity
