Capital Markets Authority (CMA) Jobs: Assistant Manager, Market Development

Capital Markets Authority (CMA) is a statutory agency charged with the responsibility of regulating and developing efficient capital markets in Kenya.

The Authority invites applications from qualified, competent and experienced candidates for the following position:

Assistant Manager, Market Development
Ref: CCMD/AMMD

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications and Market Development, the selected candidate will be responsible for implementation of strategies designed to promote the market developmental mandate of the Capital Markets Authority.

The candidate will be expected to originate, coordinate and implement comprehensive programmes aimed at deepening and broadening the capital markets, increasing interest, knowledge and understanding of issues of importance to investors issuers and capital markets players, creating and articulately disseminating information, and enhancing stakeholder awareness of the role played by the Authority in the socio - economic development of the country and the opportunities presented through participation in the capital markets.

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in relevant area with professional experience and a minimum 5 year track record in project design and implementation involving stakeholder consultation and coordination on a national level, with a strong bias towards financial market development.

He/she should have the ability to translate the Authority's mission and objectives into effective programmes to harness the brand value and service delivery of the Authority, and to strategically inform CMA's market development initiatives.

Having a relevant Masters degree or relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage. He/she should be below 45 years of age.

This position is ideal for an individual who can think strategically and implement tactically at the operational level, be a results-oriented team player, and one who can manage productivity with minimal direction.

The ideal candidate should have strong relationship-building, networking and leadership skills; excellent oral and written communications skills; and high degree of motivation and passion to succeed.
