Water Engineering Specialist - Grundfos LIFELINK (Kenya)

Grundfos LIFELINK (Kenya) Ltd. is in the process of building up a highly competent technical organization. We wish to urgently recruit a highly competent, proactive and self-driven person to fill the above position within our establishment.

The Water Engineering Specialist's job will be, but not limited to, planning and supervising installations of a new solar driven water system to rural areas. The installation is done by different sub suppliers, with whom the Water Engineering Specialist must work closely together.

The Water Engineering Specialist will spend time on site inspecting and approving the sub supplier's work. When the system is installed the water engineering specialist must test and commission the system before the system is handed over to the community.

Position Requirements:

A Bachelors Degree in Engineering with minimum five years experience in implementation & service of electrical driven water supply systems. You have a proven record of experience within the field of design, installation & service of Water Projects. You are eager to learn new technologies and have an excellent understanding of quality within the mechanical and electrical fields of engineering.

You feel comfortable with project management and are able to plan and coordinate Water Projects in co-operation with sub suppliers. You are a team player and are able to work in a multi-cultural environment with little supervision. You have a language fluency in English and Swahili. Travelling within Kenya will be a part of the job.

You will be trained in troubleshooting and operation of the system. The systems have a high degree of computerised operations and the Water Engineering Specialist must have good computer skills.

The Water Engineering Specialist responsibilities will include:

  • Planning installation and coordinating with sub suppliers
  • Ensuring that the required materials are on stock for installations
  • Participating in and supervising the electrical and mechanical installation of water systems on site
  • Ensuring that deadlines, including those of sub suppliers, are held
  • Ensuring that sub suppliers deliver the specified quality
  • Monitoring system performance and conducting system service.
  • System troubleshooting on site.
