Our client is a well established local manufacturing subsidiary of a multinational corporation that is a leader in its industry, with a portfolio of well known global FMCG brands.
The Company is looking for an energetic and inspiring leader with a track record of proven success in a senior management role. As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing the efficiency of the supply chain to achieve the highest level of customer service at minimum operating cost.
As well as being responsible for managing the storage, shipping and transport to achieve optimal efficiency in the receipt, issue and dispatch of all goods, you will recommend and manage all inventories and bonds to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
The position holder will facilitate the implementation of major product driven changes by liaising across departments to develop the initial action plan, and co-ordinate their activities to ensure achievement. You will be responsible for production planning activities in line with the Company's customers'
requirements and Service Level Agreements.
The Logistics Manager will be required to possess first class logistics and supply chain knowledge coupled with considerable experience within the FMCG industry. You must have excellent communication skills, exceptional leadership skills, and a positive can-do approach will be essential for such a central role where customer service is of paramount importance.
You will be required to be proactive and have a strategic approach. A graduate with an advanced Masters degree will be an added advantage.
