Muramati Sacco, a leading Savings and credit society in Kenya is seeking to recruit suitably qualified, dynamic, committed and responsible persons to fill the following positions

MARKETING MANAGER

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the job holder will

  • Make short and long term plans/strategies for marketing activities in the organization.
  • Facilitate and coordinate all marketing activities in the organization.
  • Undertake product development, pricing, placement and promotion as dictated by customer needs.
  • Design, implement and evaluate marketing campaigns
  • Design and maintain the organizational outlook/ corporate image
  • undertake a member/customer satisfaction review from time to time and prepare reports
  • Prepare monthly management reports on all marketing related activities
  • undertake market research and segmentation to enhance deep and wide market coverage
  • Analyse monthly accounts movement as a basis of decisive actions
  • identify and recommend business development, growth and sustainability opportunities
  • Maintain the organisations competitiveness by evaluating the competition and, their impact plus recommending strategies to retain the competitive edge.
Minimum Qualifications/qualities/experience.
  • Graduate in commerce -Marketing Option, entrepreneurship, or its equivalent and a professional qualification in marketing
  • 3 years experience in similar position
  • Excellent public relations and Speaking skills
  • Innovative and Creative Team player
  • Good decision-making
  • Abreast with the current affairs and marketing trends
PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Reporting to the finance Manager, the job holder will
  • Be responsible for improvement of the Society's operation efficiency through timely and competitive acquisition of quality goods and services in the right quantity at the right time.
  • Co-ordinate procurement activities by properly planning the Society's procurement needs
  • Advertise and analyse tenders for goods and services according to the Public procurement regulations and approved specifications and requirements.
  • Coordinate and participate in procurement negotiations with suppliers and vendors to consider tender applications against specifications, market prices, cost, quality and speed of delivery.
  • Coordinate timely delivery of goods through order progression in liaison with the branches
  • Ensure all goods delivered to the society are properly checked for quality, quantity, validity and are properly documented and recorded
  • Ensure proper storage of all goods procured
  • Undertake monthly stock taking exercise to determine physical existence of stock items
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • The ideal candidate should have a Bachelors Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics or equivalent
  • Professional qualifications such as IPS/KISM
  • 3 years experience in purchasing gained from a large organisation
  • Being a member of the Chartered Institute of procurement and suppliers/Kenya Institute of Supplies management will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and process purchasing requisitions, decisiveness and maintain up to date inventory records
  • Be computer literate
