Then we are looking for you.... Security Manager (s)

The ability to attain and sustain a secure environment for all our resources is paramount to the attainment of our aggressive goals. The key deliverable for the role holder will be to provide leadership and strategic support to the various business units so as to guarantee both the safety and security of all EABL's resources. This role will be expected to manage and work closely with external security teams. The key responsibility will be to identify, minimize and eliminate exposure to all security risks facing the business, its employees, its stakeholders and the general community.

Other responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: -

  • Formulation of security policies and procedures for the business and its subsidiary companies and monitoring the implementation or breach of set standards.
  • Collecting, analyzing and disseminating industrial, market and security intelligence reports to the senior management team for timely mitigation of risks.
  • Collecting and disseminating market intelligence on societal issues that may have an impact on the wellbeing of employees, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Investigating serious crimes and incidences and liaising with external law enforcement agencies such as the local police, legal agents, and Government authorities for appropriate action.
  • Overseeing the appropriate implementation of action plans by all team members in order to make safety and risk management the number one priority in the business.
  • Identification and management of contractors from external security firms so as to deliver all set performance targets.
Experience and qualifications required:
  • 1 st Degree or equivalent with a strong academic background.
  • 5-7 years experience with either a security enforcement firm or in similar role in a relevant industry.
  • Formal training will be desired but not mandatory.
Evidence of the following will offer an advantage: -
  • Diploma or certificate in conventional physical security and crime prevention.
  • Diploma or certificate in advanced security operations.
  • Specific training in fire fighting, investigation, intelligence, fraud awareness and prevention.
The Person:
  • Strong interpersonal relations to enable one interact with internal and external contacts.
  • Proven and sound analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven interrogation and investigation skills.
