Recruitment of Prison Warders and Wardresses by Prisons Service

The Kenya Prisons Service wish to announce for general information that there will be recruitment of prison warders and wardresses on 29th April, 2010 starting 0800Hrs.
Interested candidates are invited to attend interviews at the local DC’s office.
Qualifications:

1. Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- (Minus) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
2. Be between the ages of 18 and 26 years
3. Be at least 1.73 metres (5′.8″) tall for men and 1.52 metres (5′.2″) tall for women
4. Be physically and medically fit
5. Have good hearing and clear vision
6. Have no criminal record

Successful candidates will undergo a medical test at the Prisons Staff Training College – Ruiru
Prospective candidates should carry their original identification cards, certificates and other testimonials
