BACKGROUND:
The Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) has recently been reorganized. Under new management, TANESCO will now focus on increasing the outreach and service quality of its Energy products for Tanzania people. Next to its current passion as a leading provider of electricity and to be more efficient customers focused utility for Tanzania and beyond. The Company has the largest electricity generation, transmission and distribution network in Tanzania. In order to reach its goals, the Company will, in the coming years invest heavily in its generation, transmission and distribution network, its business systems and human capital. TANESCO now invites a proactive, self-motivated, trustworthy, hardworking and committed individual to fill the under-mentioned position at HYDROPLANTS.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Responsible and accountable for all activities of the plant to ensure that the company business plans and annual plant target for generation of safe and reliable electricity is achieved and exceeded.
• Responsible in design recommend and implant plant business plan as per agreed targets set annually in corporate business plan.
• Support and ensure that operation activities and targets set in generation, dispatch, and transmission of energy.
• Plan monitor and control the activities of team members in order to ensure the most effective utilization of resources and the achievement of plant objectives and targets.
• Plan and ensure implementation of maintenance programs to generating plants, transmission and distribution substations connected to the plant in order to maintain them at optimum level of availability.
• Ensure business development growth customer care and marketing of electricity is well maintained in the plant.

• Devise strategies that will ensure th€?re is adequate staffing based on the company plant business needs.
• Make sure that various management and technical reports are timely prepared and dispatched to relevant authorities to ensure that the company management has accurate and up to date business information.

B. Sc. in Engineering,Electrical,Mechanical,Civil,or its equivalent /BA in. Business Admin! Management, Finance Accountancy, Human Resources, Economics - Masters degree /post graduate Diploma will be an added advantage
