Its mandate comprises of the provision of debt, mezzanine and equity finance in strategic assets.
The Fund also provides expert advice to internal and external clients looking to optimise their funding structures.

The Chief Executive Officer will be the key Investment Officer of the company and is expected to market REIC's products and services, and to take control of the entire investment management process.

The successful applicant will report to the Board and will be responsible for, amongst others, the following:
- Taking Charge of the appraisal process new investment proposals;
- Performing detailed investment analysis of opportuni¬ties, including financial analysis, valuations, financial modelling, risk analysis and institutional analysis;
- Preparing appraisal reports for submission to Investment Committee;
- Negotiating term sheets, partnerships and trust agreements, as appropriate, with clients;
- Managing disbursements to approved projects as well as monitor a project's progress post investment;
- Source co-investment opportunities alongside private equity fund partners and debt providers;
- Developing the Funds Equity Portfolio Strategy with sound knowledge and experience of portfolio management theory;
- Developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders in the private equity industry, including but not limited to fund managers, national and international associations;
- Represent the Fund on governance structures (Advisory Board, Investment Committee etc);
- Monitoring of Investments and preparation of quarterly reports;
- Co-ordinating and reporting of the investment activities of other Investment Officers in the Unit; and
- Preparing Unit strategy and policy reports for submission to the Board as necessary.
- Raising additional investment for the Fund (preparing the PPM's, sourcing investors, sensitizing investors and closing with investors)
Required Expertise and Technical Competencies
- A undergraduate-degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business;
- A post-graduate qualification in a finance major i.e ACCA, CA, CFA or MBA will be a distinct advantage;
- 5 years experience in appraising, negotiating and closing Private Equity, Corporate Finance or Merchant Banking transactions;
- Strong credit and risk analysis skills and a clear 5 year history in making credit related risk analysis within an investment/private equity environment;
- Must be able to independently prepare financial models and apply financial analytical techniques (Candidates likely to be tested on their financial modelling skills)
