Monitoring / Evaluation Specialist

Description
Headquartered in Norway, we have now started to expand our organisation with a local branch in Central Africa. We will be based in Kampala, Uganda.
For the project of
reviewing the statistical and reporting processes in a specific UN agency
we are looking per immediate for
Monitoring / Evaluation Specialists
Reporting to the responsible senior consultant, the specialist will be responsible for the desk research by reviewing documentation and delivering a preliminary assessment of the validity, reliability and timeliness of the indicators. The specialist will participate in developing a questionnaire and survey. Part of this will be the actual development of an indicator database.
Prospective applicants will need to have
· Masters degree in Economics and Management or equivalent
· Excellent statistical and analytical skills
· Relevant experience on donor funded programs
· Be familiar with development effectiveness principles, such as the use of partner government systems and indicators
· Experience in developing and using databases is a preference
· Excellent Communication skills
· Fluency in written and spoken English
This is a great opportunity to become part of a highly skilled and dedicated international team working on projects throughout the African continent.
Looking for long term relationship, assignment will initially be for a temporary period of 2-3 months. The contract is renewable depending on performance and market. At later stage, candidates must be prepared to take part in an exchange program to Norway and therefore must be below 34 years of age.
