Duties
Duties
- Teaching of clinical nursing/midwifery skills in a range of teaching-learning settings, including the skills laboratory and the practicum.
- Facilitating integration of students' nursing practice with their academic studies.
- Liaison with nursing sites for the purpose of providing support and advice to students and staff.
- Participation in the selection and examination of candidates.
- Other teaching, administrative and research activities in relation to nursing/Community Health education.
- Promoting the integration of research knowledge into teaching-learning activities and facilitating the conduct of educational research.
- Engagement in research and other activities contributing to the professional development of nursing or related areas.
Qualifications
- Degree in nursing with the KRCHN qualification
- At least 5 years clinical work experience and another 5 years teaching experience
- Experience in developing a teaching curriculum an added advantage
- A disciplinarian, highly motivated and able to lead a team
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision
