Centum Investment Company Limited Jobs: Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Officer

Job Summary

Responsible for developing and delivering the ICT strategy, and ensuring the provision of efficient management information systems to enhance operational efficiency and support Centum’s operations in Kenya and the region.

This position reports to the Finance & HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the ICT strategy to enhance operational efficiency and support Centum’s operations.
  • Ensure that ICT initiatives support key strategic objectives by managing current information systems; computerising various business processes; increasing availability of relevant information systems to staff; and implementing upgrades in line with Centum’s strategic direction.
  • Manage, improve and ensure adherence to the agreed ICT security standards through the formulation and application of ICT security procedures and performing periodic audits.
  • Maintain and continuously update Centum’s business continuity plan to ensure preparedness in the event of a disaster.
  • Ensure the provision of essential ICT services to Centum including telecommunications and information management systems.
  • Promote the effective use of ICT in Centum through installation, assistance and training in the use of applications and providing network administration and user support services.
  • Develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for ICT service providers including Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and hardware, communications and networking vendors and liaise with them to ensure the alignment of services to Centum’s business needs.
  • Administer Centum’s information systems including e-mail and Great Plains systems, and set up controls to manage information access.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s website including uploading regular updates to ensure relevance and timeliness of company information.
  • Develop and manage the ICT budget in line with Centum’s business objectives.
Educational Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in information technology (IT) or a business related field. Professional IT qualifications (IMIS).
  • Possession of MCSE or CISA qualification would be an added advantage.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 4-5 years ICT infrastructure management experience preferably in a network environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully implementing ICT projects to support the strategic initiatives of an organization
