In line with our business operations growth and development, we are seeking to recruit suitably qualified and results oriented individual to fill the position of Operations Manager.
The position is based in Nairobi, and reports to the Managing Director, Kenya, with a matrix reporting relationship to the Regional Operations & Corporate Security, based in South Africa.
Position Purpose:
The position will mainly focus on facilities management, procurement of goods and services and management of business & customer service operations at the company’s Customer Service Group, in addition to overseeing occupational safety and health and corporate security.

Position Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:-
- Partner with the underwriting and production departments to ensure superior operational support for all commercial and consumer lines transacting business through the central business processing unit (CSG).
- Prepare operations budgets and business plans, ensure full implementation, while monitoring and controlling expenses.
- Responsible for all operations reporting, both local and regional.
- Partner with vendors of goods and services and ensure that the SLA’s are in place and that best practices are maintained in terms of procurement
- Ensure that corporate security policies are created, monitored, adapted and adhered to with regards to the company’s intrinsic requirements.
- Oversee incident response planning and investigations of security breaches and come up with specific disciplinary and legal recommendations to address any such gaps.
- Management of safety aspects in terms of occupational safety and health, evacuation and disaster management
- Ensure that strategies are implemented for a viable Business Continuity Plan, and that there are relevant contingency plans in terms of safety and security
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:-
- General business management degree from a recognized university.
- Relevant industry knowledge is an added advantage
- Hands on experience in the usage MS Office applications
- At least 6 years relevant experience in a similar or related managerial position
- Working knowledge in facilities management, corporate security management and procurement
- Hands on experience in crisis and incident management,
