FRONT OFFICE AGENT (2 POSTS)

 
Responsibilities include:
  • Check-in/check-out process
  • Cash and credit card handling
  • Post all transactions; ensure that all bills are kept up to date and accurate.
  • Assist guests both in person and on the phone.
  • Take advance reservations, bookings and special requirements, where necessary.
  • Able to deal with guest messages and enquires in an efficient manner.
  • To ensure each guest receives a warm welcome upon arrival at the hotel.
  • Ensuring guest reservations and profiles are correct
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must comply with all standard operating procedures and policies as well as Fairmont Hotels Guest Service standards
  • Support the Front Office Department as required

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • A knack for problem solving
  • The ability to work with little or no supervision is required.
  • Positive and team-oriented
  • Passion for guest service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, results-oriented, work well under pressure
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Previous Front Office experience required
  • College/University degree in related discipline an asset
  • Knowledge of Property Manager (Opera) systems an asset Adapts to change with ease and is able to handle many tasks simultaneously
  • Creative individual who has a proactive eye for detail.

  • Basic computer knowledge (Micros or other POS Systems).

Can you direct, control and organise all staff, within your direct span of control, and ensure customer requirements are satisfied at Fairmont The Norfolk? If you can then we need you!

CIN CIN BAR MANAGER (1 POST)

 
Responsibilities include:
  • To satisfy all customer requirements by ensuring that the service is constantly maintained at a consistently high standard with particular focus on regular clientele in the Cin Cin Bar.
  • To maintain and/or implement new efficient and effective work methods and systems.
  • To prepare and issue, according to bar practice, staff rotas which will provide adequate cover in the most effective manner.
  • To carry out ordering of supplies as and when necessary.
  • To carry out accurate cash-up procedures at end of night.
  • To be informed and aware of all relevant legislation regarding service of liquor, the sale of tobacco, opening hours, etc.
  • To constantly strive to improve the standards of hygiene and service throughout the bar.
  • To ensure all deliveries are checked in correctly and that all relevant delivery dockets/ invoices are correct.
  • To hold regular departmental meetings and training of staff.
  • To set good example for the staff with regard to punctuality, attendance, attitude and hygiene.
  • To promote and practice relevant health and safety and fire safety standards.
  • To maintain a harmonious work relationship between yourself, your assistant staff and customers.
  • To provide all staff with a thorough understanding of their jobs and standards of performance and to clarify duties and responsibilities.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as may be notified to you by your manager.
    Requirements 
  • Should have a minimum of 2+ years of Wine Bar experience.
  • Extensive wine knowledge and understanding of the wine industry.
  • Should have some experience in mixing cocktails.
  • Should have some College experience.
