Data Management Officer - Aga Khan Foundation (AKF)

The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) is a private, non-denominational, development agency promoting creative and effective solutions to problems that impede social and economic development. AKF (East Africa) has initiated a multi-input area development programme - the Coastal Rural Support Programme, Tanzania (CRSP, T) - in southern Tanzania. The programme's overall goal is to improve the livelihoods of rural communities in Mtwara and Lindi Regions.



Duties

The Data Management Officer will be responsible to ensure accurate and timely collection of field data, its storage and application to support programme monitoring and planning. The successful candidate will be based in Lindi or Mtwara town with regular travel within the two Regions. AKF is seeking qualified and motivated candidates with the following qualifications:



Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree preferably in Development Studies, Information Technology or related subject;

• 3 - 4 years of relevant experience working on similar initiatives in rural settings;

• Strong IT skills in particular knowledge of Microsoft Office and Access;

• A self-motivated individual who_ can work under minimum supervision;

• Meticulous attention to detail;

• Excellent communication skills in written and oral English language is essential.
