Project/Proposal Summary: 
MSI was awarded a three-year contract with USAID/Sudan on a project named SUPPORT (Services Under Program and Project Offices for Results Tracking), and tasked with the responsibility of executing functions normally associated with USAID’s Program and Communications offices. As a part of the SUPPORT project, MSI is currently establishing an office compound suitable for USAID and partner meetings in Southern Sudan, hiring technical and support staff and facilitating VIP visits. Position Summary: The Field Program Manager will be a member of the USAID/OTCM Sudan team and will be based in Juba, Sudan with frequent travel for extended periods to project locations and field sites throughout southern Sudan. S/he will work for the USAID Office of Recovery Initiatives (OTCM) Sudan program, supporting the OTCM country team in the development, oversight and management of the OTCM country program. This is a long-term position in Sudan with an expected period of performance of four months to begin with the possibility of extension. It is slated to begin immediately.

Responsibilities: 
• Support the effective implementation of the OTCM Sudan program by ensuring activities are coordinated and integrated with other USAID and donor programs;
• Advise the OTCM senior management on program performance in the field, and offer input regarding the improvement of programmatic and operational modalities;
• Draft weekly and quarterly programmatic and analytical political reports incorporating information from OTCM activities;
• Serve as Acting OTCM Deputy Office Director or Office Director as required;
• Perform other duties as determined by the supervisor to ensure successful OTCM program implementation.

Qualifications: 
• Must have both expertise and experience with programming in support of relevant political processes;
• Must be a highly flexible individual capable of redesigning his/her roles and responsibilities;
• B.A. plus 6 years or M.A.in pertinent area plus 4 years of recent project management experience, with at least two years in community development, economic development, mediation/arbitration, conflict resolution, democracy and governance, international law, and/or human rights activities;
• Minimum of 2 years field experience in humanitarian assistance, transition programs, or democracy building.
