Job Description
Title: Operations Manager
Purpose: Managing of Guarding and Alarm operations effectively
Responsibilities
- Manage effective use of both alarms and guarding vehicles and motorcycles.
- Manage the arrangements for the supervision and deployment of guard.
- To make spot checks on supervisors and other operatives in their respective areas.
- To maintain discipline, punctuality and smartness of all members of the guarding and alarm services.
- To keep informed via the control room of all general and exceptional operational activities and incidents and attend where necessary or appropriate.
- To conduct surveys of guarding requirements requested by clients and to make recommendations.
- To maintain regular contact with clients or their representatives to ensure satisfaction with the service provided.
- To report on the conduct, performance and efficiency of employees periodically as required by the company.
- Manage general Radio Room activities
- Ensure that Radio Controllers carry out their responsibilities efficiently.
- Maintenance of up to date assignment records, location maps and filing records.
- Carry out regular spot checks on back-up alarm response timings.
- Visit scenes of incidents, make entries in the OB’s and prepare appropriated reports.
- Liaising with the Police on all security matters involving incidents and investigations.
- To ensure that the duty roaster is effectively maintained at all times.
- Maintain regular liaison with clients for Alarms Services and handle the complaints to ensure customers satisfaction.
- 5 years relevant experience in private (commercial) security.
- Relevant first degree
- 30 Years and above
- The successful candidate will be delegated authority to perform the above responsibilities.
- Reports to the General Manager Operations or such other Officers as may be appointed by the Company.
- You may be required to perform any other duties that you may be assigned.
