Accountant Job in Kakamega


Position:  Accountant

Location: Kakamega, Kenya
Requirements:

  • CPA qualifications/ ACCA qualifications
  • Computer Skills – Sage, Tally, Pastel
  • A minimum of 3 – 4years experience in accounting
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. Processing invoices.
  • Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).
  • Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
  • Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.
  • Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Managing debtors
  • Managing creditors
Key Competencies / Occupational Skills/ Personality Traits/ Profile
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of costing is an added advantage
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills.
