Our client is a leading financial services organization which has successful operations in several East African countries and is currently in the process of extending its regional footprint. They now wish to recruit a Group Managing Director to drive their ambitious expansion plans and oversee group operations. This is a highly visible and influential role and a high energy, high caliber candidate is sought.
Job Profile

• Provide strategic business vision and direction to profitably grow and develop the Group and its operating subsidiaries.
• Drive rapid penetration into key regional markets through a combination of organic growth and acquisition.
• Build a unique regional brand that is synonymous with the highest levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Bring focused financial discipline to the Group that maximises capital returns from new and existing investments.
• Relationship development at the highest level with strategic partners and regulators across all markets and business segments.

Person Profile

• Holder of a masters degree preferably in business management.
• Strong financial management knowledge is essential, as is the ability to clearly communicate complex financial issues at a Board level.
• Demonstrable track record of at least 10 years senior level management of large profitable organizations at the level of Managing Director, General Manager, Finance Director or Operations Management in local or international commercial, banking, insurance or manufacturing organizations.
• Must have business management experience in Eastern Africa.
• East Africa citizens are especially preferred, including those in the diaspora who wish to return home.
