Expression of Interest (EOI) for Consultancy Services to Conduct Employee Satisfaction and Work Environment Survey
Introduction
Kenyatta University is a learning institution with a staff population of 2,564 (two thousand five hundred and sixty four). The University wishes to engage the services of a consultancy firm to undertake a survey on Employee Satisfaction and Work Environment
Objective
The overall objective of this survey will be to establish employee satisfaction levels and the standard of general work environment in order to improve University services.
It is intended that at the end of this exercise eligible consulting firms capable of conducting an Employee Satisfaction and Work Environment Survey within the set time frame will be shortlisted and Requests for Quotations (RFQ) will only be sent to the candidates so shortlisted.
Scope of Work
The assignment will cover a sample of all employees of Kenyatta University in all its campuses.
Specifically the consultancy firm will carry out an Employee Satisfaction and Work Environment Survey to assess:-
- Management responsiveness towards their work needs and orientation on problem solving.
- Training and utilization of acquired skills.
- General work environment.
- Opportunities for professional growth.
- Effectiveness of communication among the staff themselves and Management.
- Levels of service quality and programmes offered by Kenyatta University
- Service delivery systems and propose recommendations for improvements.
- An assessment report with recommendations will be expected at the end of the assignment in both hard and soft copies.
Eligible consultancy firms with the relevant qualifications and experience in conducting similar surveys are invited to
express their interest in carrying out the survey by submitting an (EOI) document containing the following minimum
requirements:-
- Certificate of Requirement/Incorporation
- Valid trade licence
- Valid tax Compliance Certificate
- Proof of financial capability (copies of audited accounts for 2007, 2008, 2009).
- List of similar jobs undertaken in the last three (3) years giving the description of study, status, client names, addresses and contract sums.
- Experience, qualifications and competence of the key staff proposed for the assignment (the leader must have at least a Master’s degree in Statistics and/or Economics. All other team members must have at least a first degree).

Environment Survey” should be addressed to the undersigned or placed in the Tender Box at Main Administration
Block at the Reception Desk so as to reach him on or before 28th May 2010 at 10.00 am.
Opening of Expression of Interest documents will take place immediately thereafter in the University Boardroom in the presence of consultants who choose to attend.
Those who had submitted EOI documents in response to our earlier advertisement which closed on 15th April 2010 are advised to collect their unopened applications and resubmit them in accordance with the requirements of this advertisement.
