Abt Associates seeking qualified candidates for new USAID agriculture program in Southern Sudan

Abt Associates (www.abtassoc.com) has been awarded the USAID/Sudan Food, Agribusiness and Rural Markets (FARM) Program. Working in the Greenbelt of the three Equatoria States, this five-year program is designed to rapidly increase agricultural productivity in selected commodities, increase trade, and improve the capacity of producers, private sector and public sector actors to develop commercial smallholder agriculture. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager as well as other Southern Sudan-based long-term positions.

Senior Finance Manager: Based in Juba, will oversee all Financial Management and Accounting issues related to the program, including supervision of Juba- and field office-based accounting staff. Key Qualifications: 
• Degree in accounting or business administration; relevant accounting certifications
• Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience managing finance/accounting systems for large USAID or other international donor programs with demonstrated knowledge of donor grant/contract systems, regulations and reporting requirements
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills in English
• Ability to gather data, compile and analyze information and prepare financial reports
• Strong computer skills (QuickBooks or Quicken, Excel, Word)
Other Juba-based staff:  a) Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist; b) Communications Specialist; c) Grants/Procurement Specialist; d) Logistics Officer; and e) Administrative/Accounts Assistant
Other field office-based staff (Yambio, Yei and Torit): a) Field Office/Finance & Administration Managers; b) Grants/Procurement Officers; and c) Monitoring & Evaluation/Training Officers
