Weru Tea Factory  Co. Ltd is seeking to recruit suitably qualified, dynamic and self  motivated persons to fill the following vacant positions.
Plant/Mechanical Technician
Reporting to the Factory Unit Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Reporting to the Factory Unit Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for the entire factory unit and its fleet of vehicles;
 - Allocating duties and supervising both machinery and fleet maintenance teams;
 - Diagnosing faults and ensuring timely repairs of the factory machinery, equipment and vehicles;
 - Requisitioning and verifying of quality spares ordered both for machinery and fleet maintenance;
 - Writing technical reports on plant and fleet maintenance;
 - Timely scheduling of statutory maintenance and repairs of both steam boilers and diesel generators;
 - Installation and commissioning of new machinery.
 
The ideal candidate should have the following  qualifications, skills and experience:
- ‘0’ level Division II or KCSE C plain;
 - Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Plant Option) from a recognized institution;
 - At least five (5) years experience gained in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the tea industry;
 - Be aged between 28 and 40 years.
 
Factory Supervisor
Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for: -

- Ensuring that production of tea is carried out within the set quality standards;
 - Maintaining accurate production records;
 - Ensuring achievement of the set production targets;
 - Supervision of staff in the assigned production lines;
 - Ensuring maintenance of hygiene standards in the production floor;
 - Constantly liaising with the factory management on production floor issues;
 - Performing any other duty as may be assigned.
 
The ideal candidate should have the following  qualifications, skills & experience:
- ‘0’ level Division II or KCSE C plain;
 - Diploma in Food Science and Technology from a recognized institution;
 - At least three (3) years working experience in a food processing establishment;
 - Be computer literate;
 - Be aged between 25 and 40 years.
