Catholic Relief Services-Sudan program is seeking to recruit a locally qualified Sudanese for the below vacant positions.
Position title:            Senior Driver Mechanic (1)
Reports to:   Fleet Manager
Location:   Juba Southern Sudan
Nationality:   Sudanese


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    Maintenance

• Evaluates, analyze the condition of motor vehicle that needs to be repaired.
• Responsible in performing major/minor repairs for CRS South Sudan motor vehicles
• Ensures that adequate supplies of minor motor vehicle spares parts, lubricants and other items are in Storeroom for easy access when need arise.
• Responsible in checking that the Generator in CRS Juba Compound is well maintained and ensures that there is always enough supply of Diesel for generators for CRS Juba as well as other Guesthouses.
• Ensures that First Aid kits, tool kits and spare tires are available in each CRS motor vehicle.

2.  Reporting/Record Keeping

• Responsible in submitting monthly Vehicle Checklist to Fleet Unit Manager
• Responsible in completing job cards for repairs carried on CRS motor vehicles.
• Maintain and update accurate Vehicle Log sheets for motor vehicle assigned to Senior Driver Mechanic.
• Responsible in reporting to Fleet Unit Manager, all breakdowns, motor vehicle accidents and fines.

3. Procurement

• Submit Purchase Request Form (PRF) to Procurement for motor vehicle spare parts for motor vehicle that needs to be repaired.
• Assist the Storekeeper in double checking the motor vehicle spare parts purchased and received from the vendor/suppliers.  Ensures that the motor vehicle spares parts are genuine and original

4. Inventory

• Maintain comprehensive spare parts inventory inside the stores on soft  and hard copy and submit to Fleet manager on monthly basis

5. Others

• Conduct field visit to Field Offices as maybe required by the Fleet Unit Manager.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by  Management

Relevant Qualifications & Experience

• O-Level Education

• At least five years experience as Senior Mechanic in reputable organization.
• Have ability to dismantle and over-haul motor vehicle.
• Must hold a valid Sudanese driving license Class BCE.
• Computer Literate both MS word and Excel
