Finance and Administration Manager: Sabatia Eye Hospital Jobs in Kenya

Sabatia Eye Hospital is a faith based eye centre located in Sabatia District western province. It serves the entire Western, Nyanza and part of the Rift valley provinces and it is the third largest eye care provider in the country.

The hospital works towards the eradication of avoidable blindness in this part of the country through provision of quality eye care services at its base and its outreach programs to underserved areas and provide training in eye care in the country.

In order to meet the growing demands for eye care and disability services, the hospital seeks to recruit a Finance and Administration Manager.

The manager shall be the overall person in charge of the hospital’s finance, administration and human resource functions and shall report to the hospital Director/CEO.

The key objective of this position is to drive the hospital towards self sustainability and quality eye care service provision.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and monitor the Finance, Administration and Human resource policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the short and long term implementation of the hospital’s four year strategic plan.
  • Advise management and the board of directors on financial, administration and human resource issues.
  • To strengthen existing partnerships and develop new partners, in order to promote eye care services and capacity building/training in eye care
  • Monitor donor funds utilization, Reporting and ensuring proper accountability to our donors.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and submission of financial, human resource, audit, budget, annual and other relevant hospital reports to management, board of directors, donors and other partners
  • Be in charge of day today running of finance, Admin and human resource functions and ensure smooth running of the hospital
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the hospital director and the management
Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor degree in business administration, commerce, accounting, finance or other relevant areas,
  • Be in possession of CPA(K) equivalent
  • 3- 5 years experience in similar position preferably in a hospital set up
  • Experience in strategic plan development, implementation and monitoring
  • Advanced computer skills and experience working with computerized accounting systems especially quick books,
  • Excellent analytical, report writing skills and leadership qualities,
