YTTC, Across YEI, South Sudan
Across is looking to appoint a Finance Officer to manage the income and expenditures of Yei Teacher Training College and ensure timely reporting. This is a new position and part of the strategic development of the college.
The successful candidate will be a committed Christian who is willing to work with a dynamic management team in the college to help develop YTTC to become an independent institution in South Sudan.
Key Functions:
- To ensure that YTTC finances are well managed
- To work closely with the Principal and Bursar to ensure efficient cash flow
- Be responsible for the effective forecasting and monitoring of all financial aspects of the Program, in accordance with the accounting policies of the organization and liaise with Nairobi office.
- To prepare timely financial reports for donors
- To prepare for annual audit
Qualifications & skills:
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree –Accounting/Finance - with accounts bias (preferably CPA 3 or its equivalent).
- Committed Christian in word and action, fitting well in a team as a member
- Computer literate and experienced in various PC and financial related software (spreadsheets, accounting packages).
- Excellent communication skills – written and spoken- in English.
- High integrity, self motivated, honest and hard-working accountant
- Trustworthy, able to work under pressure and under short deadlines with minimum supervision
- Must be willing to live under difficult physical and security conditions and the necessary restrictions that this entails.
- Flexible and with initiative
- Able to identify with the mission and vision of YTTC
- Skills in planning and budgeting
- Valid and accident free Driving License class E
