Our client, The Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority was established under the Sacco Societies Act 2008 with a mandate to license, regulate, supervise and develop the Sacco sector in Kenya.
The SASRA board wishes to recruit high caliber result-oriented professionals to provide leadership in the following positions.
Chief Manager, Sacco Supervision

This position is responsible for the supervision and licensing of Sacco societies and for formulating and implementing strategies to promote effective governance of Sacco societies.

Chief Manager, Sacco Supervision

This position is responsible for the supervision and licensing of Sacco societies and for formulating and implementing strategies to promote effective governance of Sacco societies.
Key Responsibilities and Duties will include:
- Supervising, licensing, initiating and implementing strategies for effective surveillance of the Sacco Societies.
- Undertaking on site inspection and off site surveillance of licensed Sacco Societies.
- Developing, implementing and evaluating policy guidelines and best practices for the effective regulation of Sacco Societies.
- Enforcing compliance with the Sacco Societies Act and the Regulations made thereunder.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least eight (8) years experience in a managerial position in a reputable financial entity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of co-operative societies operations.
- A Master's degree in Co-operative Business and Management, Economics, Finance, Law or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Professional qualification and membership of a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
- A proven track record for outstanding performance in financial supervision and/or compliance.
Chief Manager, Human Resource and Administration

This position is responsible for managing the human resources and general administration of the Authority.
Key Responsibilities and Duties will include:

This position is responsible for managing the human resources and general administration of the Authority.
Key Responsibilities and Duties will include:
- Developing and implementing human capital and administration plans to achieve strategic results.
- Effective planning, administration and management of human resources in order to meet the Authority's objectives.
- Developing and implementing a Performance Management Appraisal System (PMAS).
- Planning and managing staff training and development.
- Implementing an effective human resource management information system.
- Managing the provision of an efficient office services and maintenance of the Authority's assets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least eight (8) years experience in strategic and operational human resource management within a reputable organisation.
- At least four (4) years strategic general administration experience.
- A Master's degree or postgraduate diploma in Human Resources Management, or equivalent,
- Professional management qualification and membership of a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
- Demonstrable strong leadership abilities including in people management and communication.
Chief Manager, Finance and Planning

This position is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of a prudent financial management system.

Key Responsibilities and Duties will include:
- Developing and installing effective financial management systems and procedures.
- Planning and co-ordinating the timely preparation of annual work plans and budget estimates in line with the Authority's strategic plan and desired targets.
- Establishing and enforcing effective expenditure monitoring and control procedures.
- Ensuring proper utilization and investment of the Authority's fund; Co-ordinating and monitoring the organization's investment of surplus funds.
- Liaising with the relevant government ministries and agencies on public financial management regulations.
- Ensuring timely compliance with the financial and fiduciary obligations of SASRA.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least eight (8) years experience in strategic and operational financial management within a reputable organization.
- Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting. An MBA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, ACMA and membership of a relevant professional body.
- A proven track record and reputation for outstanding financial management, and high integrity.
