A client is urgently in need of a Stores Clerk with the below qualifications
Stores Clerk Job Description
- Controlling the physical receipts and issues of all materials and associated reporting procedures.
- Maintaining an orderly and well defined store layout and location systems.
- Setting Inventory levels and managing Inventory Control processes
- Supervising material receipt, unloading and placement in assigned storage location.
- Checking material received quantities and specifications against order documents
- Keeping a track of obsolete and surplus stocks and to obtain management approval for their timely disposal through approved procedure.
- Maintaining and updating record files on all materials, parts equipment, etc. Stored in the warehouse
- Performing visual checks of inventory and of items stored in different locations.
- Alerting the procurement manager the need to replenish bench stock.
- Preparing Weekly and Monthly reports
- Ensuring minimum damages/losses of any kind
§ Ensure proper security/safety and fire hazard
Personal Attributes
The incumbent must also demonstrate the following personal attributes:

Educational Qualifications
· A diploma in purchasing and supplies/stores management.
· 2-3 years experience in a busy warehouse handling assorted goods.
· Good arithmetic skills.
· Computer literate.
· Experience in managing casuals labours.
· Good record keeping and document tracking.
Salary - 25,000/= net per month
