Job Description
• Manage TMRC's funds to ensure sufficient liquidity is available to finance its operations at all times consistent with acceptable'risks.
• Evaluate and recommend bond funding requirements to fund TMRC's operations.
• Develop funding strategies for TMRC.
• Develop and utilize asset-liability management techniques to minimize adverse impact of interest rate fluctuations to the Company.
• Evaluate market feedback on existing Treasury products and introduce new concepts to encourage secondary trading.
• Develop new Treasury products to fund the Company's business.
• Establish reporting procedures to the Regulators to ensure compliance with the laws.
• Conduct briefings and promote product education to potential investors to create greater awareness and demand for TMRC's treasury products.
• Devise sound and prudent policies and procedures for management of TMRC's investments.
• Responsible for the day to day financial operations of the Company and for implementing all financial policies and strategies.
• Responsible for preparation of the Financial Manual of TMRC.
• Ensure that appropriate finance systems are maintained and that all procedures/controls are implemented.
• Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with acceptable accounting
• Prepare variance Reports on Budget for Management and the Board of Directors.
• Ensure that all accounting records are in compliance with the policies and accounting standards approved by the Board of Directors.
• Undertake appropriate financial reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flows and ensure that adequate funds are maintained in the Bank.
• Maintain an inventory asset register.
• Liaise closely with the External Auditors on the preparation of the Half-Yearly and Annual Financial Statements.
• Liaise with the Tax Consultants on all tax issues relating to the Company.
Qualification and Experience
1. Degree in Accounting and MBA preferable
2. 10 years' experience
3. Familiarity with IAS/IFRS Standards
4. Strong knowledge in accounting principles and practices and the financial markets
5. Significant banking and capital markets experience with emphasis on asset liability management
6. Experience in securities product development
7. Experience in dealing with institutional investors
8. Innovative and positive with a go-getter attitude
