An international NGO, implementing comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment programs to facilitate the Kenya Ministries of Medical Services and Public Health to control the spread of HIV and rapidly scale up HIV services with primary goal of supporting the scale-up of HIV prevention, care, and treatment activities, institute continuous quality improvement methods as well as the M & E infrastructure necessary to support these services, within designated health care facilities in Nairobi is seeking suitably qualified Kenyans able to fill the above position.
The Program Data officer will report to Strategic Information Lead Specialist. Purpose of Position
Under the supervision of the SI Lead Specialist, the Program Data officer will work to ensure proper transfer of the global organisational M&E and data management agenda by providing technical assistance and capacity building to M&E and data management staff at Point of Service in support of SI activities.
S/he will provide support to the M&E and data management components at the Point of Service level
Specific Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the SI Lead Specialist, the Program Data officer will work to ensure proper transfer of the global organisational M&E and data management agenda by providing technical assistance and capacity building to M&E and data management staff at Point of Service in support of SI activities.
S/he will provide support to the M&E and data management components at the Point of Service level
Specific Responsibilities:
- Providing training, and support in data collection and analysis to PACT supported Points of Services (POS)
- Helping each of these POS to improve their medical records system
- Training POS and other partner staff in Health Information Systems including specialized training in IQCare™ and other databases
- Implementing data quality control/assurance
- Participating in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities for the timely compilation and submission of reports to stakeholders
- CQI activities to include data validation and cleaning at the various POS as required
- Ensuring regular, accurate monitoring reports from the POS (monthly, quarterly, annually) on all required donor/ Kenya Government / Organisational indicators
- Participating in data analysis and report compilation at the POS (monthly, quarterly, annually) on all required indicators
- Supporting and providing training for data analysis to the POS
- Providing backup data entry services at various POS where a backlog may exist
- Performing minimum data entry when needed and supervising temporary data entrants as required
- Conducting site visits to each POS and provide technical assistance and guidance on all issues related to Strategic Information
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Hold a B. Sc degree from a recognized university
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience in providing technical support in M&E and data management activities
- Possesses excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Have detail oriented work style and is able to work in a high paced environment
- Be willing to travel extensively
