The Tangamano Business Information Centre (TABIC) in Tanga City invites applications from suitably qualified candidatl'ls to fill the position of an Economist (cum Business Economist) for a contract of one year (renewable)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The economist will be responsible for
Collect and distribute relevant business information for SME's Assessing training needs and facilitate training for SME's Support entrepreneurs from informal sector to get formalized Carrying market researches for entrepreneur's products Prepare and arrange business adverts
Promote dialogue and cooperation between TABIC members and other economic stakeholders in Tanga
Follow up production processes and advise accordingly
Fulfill duties of the TABIC Board Secretary, incl. reporting, monitoring & evaluation
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree in economics or its equivalent Computer literate
Desirable experience of working with SME's of not later than 3 years Excellent communication skills
Fluent in spoken and written English and Kiswahili Experience in facilitating trainings
Experience in working with national and international organizations
REMUNERATIONS
The salary is comparable to the Government Salary Scheme TGS E and will be fixed at 460,000 Tsh for the contract.
