ANPPCAN Head Office is looking for a Programme Coordinator for Rights for Deaf Children and their Families Project. The position requires the following:

- Overall in charge of project activities in the 6 districts
- Day to day management of the project
- Monitoring and supervision of all project activities
- Ensuring that the project activities are implemented on time
- Work closely with the stakeholders in the 6 districts. Such stakeholders include:
- Ministry of Education at the national level
- Education Assessment and Resource Centres of the Ministry of Education at the district level
- Relevant stakeholders e.g. NGOs, CBOs and FBOs
- Relevant government departments
- Ensuring that the project meets its originally intended goal and outputs
- Representing the work of the programme to interested parties
- Providing timely narrative and financial reports to the donor through the Director of Programmes at ANPPCAN
- Identify other issues affecting deaf children to be further addressed
Requirements
- Be a graduate of Social Sciences from a recognized University
- Project management experience of not less than 2 years
- Knowledge of sign language
- Ability to coordinate, liaise and negotiate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Self driven with capacity to mobilize and motivate groups
- Computer literate with proven knowledge on use of several packages e.g. MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Experience of working in the children sector will be an added advantage
- Must be not less than 28 years old and possess a driving licence
